		<description>When the nails grow too long the quick or blood supply grows out too far as well and the nails can&#039;t be trimmed without being painful for the dog.  Now we can keep them shorter without risking injury.

Believe me... I told the vet about my encounter with the receptionist.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve honestly never heard of the nail surgery, and I&#039;ve had dogs my whole life, which means I&#039;ve dealt with most everything that comes along.  Why do they do that?Very cute dogs, even in their post-op stupor!  I had a friend who named his dogs Cheech &amp; Chong.

Oh, and I would have let that receptionist know that that was a bad way to handle the situation.  I would have freaked out!</description>
