I had another picture ready for today’s photo but when I walked Charlie this evening I couldn’t help but attempt a shot at the moon. I set my camera on the pillar near the back porch and aimed it at the sky with a box underneath the lens. Not the best solution but with the self timer and some patience I got a shot. (This is why I really NEED a new tri-pod.) As magnificent as this scene was it was difficult to shoot because the clouds were moving so quickly across the sky. I had to leave the shutter open long enough for the low light so the movement of the clouds made a blur across the photo. Neat, but not what I was looking for. After several changes to the settings I finally came up with this one. The color is my favorite part.
