Kelli -
When you asked for Blog ideas for the coming year, I offered many, none of which you took. Now I'm starting to realize, that really, you took all of them. When you write about Grace it really encompasses all things good and bad in ones life. I'm a daily reader of your blog, and am excited to be a featured subject. Unfortunately, I have been that several times over the last year for reasons I would rather not have been. However, You offer peace in your writing. You are never afraid to tackle the unpopular subjects, but you do so with "Grace". As I read yesterdays blog for the third time, I come to realize it could not have been a more fitting post for my mom. I know you did not know her well and only through my brother and my stories did you have any clue of what kind of person she was. You see my mother and her 5 brothers and sisters were all orphaned at a very young age. The youngest stil an infant. The six were moved to their grandparents place, a small farm in Delhi, Ca, to be raised. My mom lived a life hardknocks, including divorce, and addictions that she fought until the day she died. Yet she was full of grace, and not just any grace, she was full of "Epathetic Grace".

How about ..."through the eyes of a therapy dog". Write from Charlie's perspective. It's a great challenge for you as a writer. To express the feelings of another living thing, especially when you don't share the same language. Of course the pics also have to be from his eyes, and what he sees! If it is a daily post again, it might be difficult to do when you are away, unless you make arrangements with your sitters to take a picture from his line of sight and then a picture of him and text them to you, then you'll have to write from that perspective. You may have to finally finish "The Art of Racing in the Rain" so you'll have a model.
You could also choose something more abstract like trees or water. Water would be pretty fun, we use it daily in so many different ways. We can't live without it, yet in its many forms; solid, liquid, and gas, it can be so deadly... Same with fire or warmth. Can't live without it, yet it can be so deadly!!
Those are my thoughts... Good luck! Can't wait for the new blog, I've so enjoyed reading and being a part of them. It's always fun to have "made it into Kelli Rocha's Blog". Lol!
Happy New Year!
