Another extraordinary wedding for the Rocha family this weekend… Mr. and Mrs. John Azevedo Jr. This one has been a long time coming. Nancy has been a part of our Borba Family celebrations for many years, but now she is officially a part of the family. My words (and photos for that matter) cannot describe how beautiful this wedding was. All in black and ivory with elegance in every detail. Of course it’s easy to enjoy such a celebration when you are surrounded by wonder family and honoring a couple you adore. I wish them many years of blessings and happiness.
Weddings October 19, 2008
We were invited to three different weddings this weekend and actually made it to two (ceremony for one and reception for the other) of them which seemed a bit overwhelming when we were trying to plan the day. This photo is from the wedding of Jon and Dawna Rebiero. I first met Dawna when she was in kindergarten with my niece. It seems like yesterday. Since we missed the ceremony, this was our first chance to see her and Jon and we were literally speechless. She was so beautiful and beaming with pure joy and happiness. What a stunning couple they make. Just like last week, I was truly moved by the kind words each had for the other. What a privilege it is to share in these moments. Jon talked about how he felt when he first saw Dawna at the church. That’s always my favorite part. Everyone looks at the bride and I always watch at the groom.
We celebrated with old friends and neighbors and especially enjoyed the company of Dawna’s little brother Patrick who has a special place in our family.
Congratulations to all of the couples this weekend. Mrs. and Mrs. Jon Rebiero, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Baballe.
Borba Wedding October 11, 2008
Another Saturday in October and another wedding. (We have 5 this month.) This photo is from the wedding of a long time family friend and now fellow CC Raider coach Frankie and his beautiful wife Aubrey. I am always honored to be included in these special moments in people’s lives and this one was no exception. It was particularly touching to hear the kind words the bride and groom had for each other. We had a terrific time sitting at the CCHS table and everything looked spectacular. The food was delicious and the friends and family we visited with were all having a great time.
Wedding… October 4, 2008
We had our first rain on Friday night and Saturday morning, but it cleared up and was a beautiful evening for the Haglund Wedding. It was held at Double T Acres in Stevinson. Even though the ground was a little wet, it was worth it. The clouds make for great photographs. We had great time with old friends… many of them from the high school. It was almost like a CC Reunion.
